But been having some computer problems. Once I get that sorted out, I'll post the next chapters of "Unexpected Love" asap. Sorry about the wait :(, I'll be back soon.

"Unexpected Love" Chapter 4

and will most likely have an update up by tomorrow night. My fingers are taking a little break before I jump right back into the story :).

So a couple weeks ago I got the sudden urge to download some Sheryl Crow songs. That's right Sheryl Crow. You guys will realize my musical repertoire spans all genres. Anyway, I ended up downloading four songs, including my favorite "If It Makes You Happy".

You may have heard it before. This song has a country rock sound to it that I absolutely love. Even if you don't like country, you may find yourself liking this song. The guitars accompanied with the deep, raspy voice of Sheryl makes the lyrics to song even more powerful.

Still Writing...

"Unexpected Love". I know I haven't posted a new chapter in over two weeks but that's because I had a case of writer's block. But now i am back to writing the story and let's just say Marva and Rick's "friendship" is about to change. We all know that Rick has always had deep feelings for Marva. But Marva is really about to come to some tough realizations. I'm on a roll with the writing now and can't seem to stop so I will be posting the rest of the chapters frequently now.
Also, I am going to submit the first chapter to Literotica today. I said in a previous post that I wanted to wait until I was midway or completely done to submit to Literotica. And since I am about midway through I am ready  to post. I so excited! So once the story is posted, I will provide a link to the story on Literotica so you can follow me over there too.
Now I do have a new story that I going to start writing as soon as I finish "Unexpected Love". I will be posting this story on this blog and on Literotica simultaneously. So get ready for the next chapters of "Unexpected Love" and brand new story coming real soon.

Happy Turkey Day...

everyone. Wishing you all blessings and a wonderful Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and right now I'm about to dig into my family's Thanksgiving feast.
Before I eat though I wanted to inform you that there will be a slight delay in the chapter 4 update of "Unexpected Love". I usually post on Thursday's or Friday's, but I will most likely have it up a few days later. I will post it as soon as possible, but I just wanted to let you know that it's coming.

"Would've Been The One" by Solange Knowles. I first heard it on Youtube and couldn't help but download it.
As I listen to more of Solange's music, I find I'm liking her more and more. I was kind of reluctant to hear her music because of who her sister is! I thought she was going be like a mediocre version of her sister. But I was delighted to find she had more of a neo-soul, futuristic sound.
I've even grown to like her fashion style and her free-spiritedness. Even though she will never be as popular as her sister (a good thing I think), she makes quality music that is so much better than the bull that is marketed as music nowadays.

Had A Rough Week...

But I am determined to post the third chapter of "Unexpected Love" this week. So stay tuned.
Anyways, I wanted to post this beautiful song by the multitalented artist Janelle Monae. Let me first start by saying that I absolutely LOVE this girl. Her sound is so different and refreshing. It is wonderful to see an R&B singer take risks and go against the mainstream.

I will definitely post more of Janelle's songs, but I want to post this one called "Smile". It's a cover of the Charlie Chaplin song and was said to be Michael Jackson's favorite song. Whenever I have a rough week like the one I just had, I play this song. And because Janelle sings it so beautifully, I can't help but do what the title says: Smile.

"Unexpected Love" Chapter 2

There's A Boy...

that works in a store that I frequent that has somewhat of a crush on me. I catch him staring at me and sneaking quick glances at me. To be honest I am somewhat flattered and I think he's kind of cute. But I think he's a little younger than me :(.
I know that he will never approach me. One reason is because I am always accompanied with someone when I go into the store. Another reason is he might not want to get caught by his boss trying to pick up a girl at work. One last reason is that I have had a few spats with employees in that particular store, so I know he's heard about my slick mouth, among other things.
But in all honesty, he has made my trips to the store somewhat of a treat. One that easily goes to my head ;). So even though I avoid eye contact with him as much as possible, I welcome his looks of admiration while he stocks items. I hope he keeps them coming, they brighten my day.

For love and other things. But during this time I have been working on the second chapter of "Unexpected Love". The story is still coming together in my mind and now I am just trying to translate those ideas on to paper. I am still developing both characters, Marva and Rick, I want the story to be as well rounded as possible.
All in all though, I do believe I will be able to post the second chapter up this week. I can't wait. The best part of writing for me is finishing a chapter or a story and publishing it. It's such a great feeling.
I know that I want to post this story onto Literotica but I want to a least finish it midway or completely before I do. Literotica is like the grand stage of erotic literature on the internet. I have not seen any similar sites as good as Literotica. All in good time though.

Anyway, I want to share a song with you by the bassist Esperanza Spalding called "I Adore You". It's off of her self titled CD "Esperanza". Let me tell you, I love this song, it is so upbeat and always manages to make me feel better no matter how down I am. Listen for yourself and see how you like.

My First Story: Unexpected Love

Hey everyone. Okay, so this is the first story that I am going to post. It's called "Unexpected Love", a story about a nerdy guy and a popular girl who unexpectedly find love with each other. I have been working on this for a while and am finally satisfied with this first chapter. A note of caution, the characters speak in the first person and I switch back and forth between the two frequently. I just want to give you a heads up so the story won't become confusing. My First Night...

Writing on my new blog. Well let me introduce myself. I'm Makka, a waiting lover and fledgling writer, who after months of reading works on Literotica-mainly in the romance and interracial love sections- has decided to try her hand at writing romance.
